Honestly, Tarken House exceeded our expectations big time! The photos on the website don't do it justice - it's even more stunning in real life. We were a group of 7 women celebrating a birthdayand the owners went out of their way to make us feel special, decorating the entrance with balloons and leaving us a sweet welcome gift of tablet (which was delicious!). The living space is super spacious and comfy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The kitchen is so well-equipped, even for mixing cocktails - we loved that! The pool was a real highlight; it's lovely and warmand you can even use the jets to give it a bit of a workout. We didn't spend much time on the deck since it was February, but I bet it's gorgeous in the summer. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, especially the front ones with loch views - soft linens, fluffy towelsand plenty of toiletries. We also appreciated the robes and slippers. All in all, we had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We had such a lovely stay at Tarken House celebrating my partner's birthday over the New Year break. There were four of us adults and four kids aged between 6 and 9. Honestly, the house is even more stunning in real life - the photos don't quite do it justice! It's just so beautifully kept and cosy. From the moment we arrived, it felt really special. The lights were on, birthday banners and balloons were already upand there was a warm glow from the heating - plus a nice welcome with whiskey, biscuitsand Scottish tablet. We really appreciated how well-stocked everything was - plenty of towels, toilet rollsand kitchen essentials. The logs were all ready for the fireand the beds were incredibly comfy, which made unwinding super easy. The scenery around the house is breathtaking - we loved the views and the peaceful surroundings. There are walks right from the doorstepand when we didn't want to go far, the pool, dartsand pool table kept us busy. It's ideal for a relaxing break with plenty to do for everyone. A big shoutout to the housekeepers - they were so helpful, flexibleand kind, even when we had a few mishaps. Over the years, we've stayed in lots of places, but their friendliness really made a difference. We'd definitely return in summer - can't recommend Tarken House enough!
