Second trip to the roundhouse. Its just the perfect base for places to visit. It also so comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Owners on hand to help with anything. Nothing was an issue. Thanks again.
Robbie
The Roundhouse is a fantastic house which was clean, well equipped and ideal for our family. The centre point of the house is the lounge which occupied the round building, and is a spectacularly room with great views of the surrounding countryside. The location is perfect rural enough to be able to enjoy walks and see some local wildlife, but also close enough to the likes of Perth and Stirling, and an easy journey to Edinburgh or Glasgow. The owners were friendly and helpful, and have obviously put a lot of thought into the house I would highly recommend the Roundhouse to any families looking for a stay in Scotland.
Elaine
We had a great stay at The Roundhouse. It was a great location, super clean and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely return in the future!
Our third visit to this beautiful, cosy, well equipped cottage. It is perfect for our family to visit over the weekend where its full on, with a much quieter pace of life for my husband and I for the rest of the week. Owners,Isobel and John, are excellent hosts whose attention to detail makes this the place it is. A truly five star holiday accommodation!
Lovely place with everything we needed and more. Beautiful countryside location ideal for touring surrounding attractions.
Oliver
Very well looked after as last time we were. Thank you

The Roundhouse is a perfect holiday home in beautiful surroundings. It's a great base for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding cities of Sterling and Perth, as well as fantastic walks less than an hour's drive away. And, last but not least, it is run by exceptionally nice and attentive owners.
George
We enjoyed our stay at the RoundHouse with its quiet location, pleasant views and unique round sitting room. Its easily the cleanest holiday rental we have ever used. Theres enough showers and the kitchen is good quality and works for actually cooking. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.
Daniel
Great home from home, wonderful location, easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, the Highlands, GleneaglesI could keep listing at length. Very well resourced accommodation and a delightful host who is a master of the art of engaging conversation.
Lovely place, peaceful and nice surroundings with quite a bit of wildlife. The roundhouse is a lot bigger than it appears on the pictures and was spotlessly clean. Surrounding area is stunning as well with plenty places to visit...I called round and met John the owner and he was a very pleasant man, very accommodating and would definitely visit the roundhouse again if in the area...
Absolutely loved our stay . The owners were so friendly and welcoming, the setting beautiful and the cottage was outstanding. There were lots of little touches that elevated our stay to the next level, such as bags on each bed with toiletries and sundries, current magazines and lots of books and board games. There was also binoculars and a bird identification book so we could appreciate the abundant wildlife on our doorstep.
Our stay was great the roundhouse was special and we would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. The views from the front windows where lovely. The bedrooms were very clean and just right everything was well thought out and the bathrooms were really good. The kitchen had everything that was needed for us to cook and eat in. The property was a fantastic place to stay. And for us it was located just right it was perfect for us as a base.
Our stay at the cottage was absolutely wonderful, we could not have asked for better hosts or more comfortable stay! We will definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

The Roundhouse was absolutely fantastic The house is beautiful very well furnished and decorated and very comfortable with everything you need for your holiday The location is amazing you can see for miles across the countryside with deers and rabbits in the fields and red kites in the sky what more could you ask for? Thank you to Isobel and David for our stay the house is an absolute credit to you We would definitely love to stay again Jackie and family. APRIL 2025
As an extended family we really enjoyed our stay in the Roundhouse. It is a spacious, wellappointed property with lots of little extras that make you feel welcome. We particularly enjoyed spotting the wildlife and trains. The main bathroom had a couple of minor maintenance issues, but nothing that affected our stay. The location is superb. It feels completely isolated, but is not very far from facilities and the main road from which you can get to lots of places quick. We were so happy with our stay that our families have talked about booking the property again in future. Theres no better recommendation than that!
We absolutely adored our two week stay at the Roundhouse. The property is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need for a real 'home away from home' feeling. The location is both rural and yet not far from local town Stirling as well as some lovely villages, distilleries etc. The owners are extremely kind and generous. We will definitely be back!
Alison
House is perfect for a break. High quality finishings. Beautiful home. Owners have thought of everything thats needed. Location is great as well. In the country but so handy for surrounding area. We all loved it.
Our second visit to the Roundhouse which boasts quality fixtures and fittings and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen the owners, Isobel and John have thought of everything, and lots of little extras are provided. A great base from which to explore beautiful Perthshire in its Autumn colours, and a warm cottage to return to in the evenings. An excellent holiday home all round.
Daniel
We had such a lovely stay at the Roundhouse! As soon as we arrived we felt at home. Lovely little touches around every corner, a nice welcome basket of goodies and beautiful views all around. Excellent location and a true gem of a property. Well certainly be back again and will be recommending to friends and family! Thank you
Andrew
Stunning property, spotlessly clean in a beautiful location. We were looking for peace, quiet and a connection with nature, here we found it in abundance.
The Roundhouse, is simply amazing. The finishing touches are fabulous and great care has been made to make sure you have a lovely stay. From the robes and slippers to the blankets and kitchen equipment. The house was beautifully clean and had all we needed. We had such a lovely week at the roundhouse. The views are stunning and you get to see all the different weather fronts coming in. Would highly recommend and would love to go back.
The Roundhouse exceeded all our expectations for a selfcatering stay. Nestled in the rolling hills of Blackford, Scotland, this charming cottage offered stunning views and a tranquil escape for our multigenerational family. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the immaculate cleanliness. The thoughtful touches, like the gift baskets filled with toiletries, luxurious dressing gowns, and slippers, truly elevated our experience to a hotellike feel. Even the little things, like a hairdryer and a Nespresso machine with pods, were greatly appreciated. The spacious and wellequipped kitchen made mealtimes a breeze, and the washing machine and dryer were lifesavers with young children in tow. But the true stars of the show were the breathtaking views and abundant wildlife sightings right outside our doorstep. The kids were enthralled, and we all enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. The owners were incredibly friendly and made themselves readily available for any questions we had. We all would love to return one day soon. If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable selfcatering getaway that caters perfectly to families, The Roundhouse is an absolute gem!
Lesley
This cottage is one of the best we have ever stayed at. The facilities are first class. We even had maps, binoculars, dressing gowns and slippers. Even though it was summer it was cold, but not in the cottage, it was lovely and warm. Internet was brilliant as was the washing machine and dryer. The lounge room is huge but so comfortable. It was a home away from home. Huge congratulations to the owners and thank you for making such a brilliant cottage available to visitors.
We had a wonderful stay at the round house. Everything you cold wish for apart from a brush or hoover to keep things tidy. The owners are a lovely family happy to help if there is anything you need. Lovely watching the kites flying about and the rabbits in the fields . John was very help to show us this classic alvis car which is an extra treat. Will decently be happy to return .
It was our second time here, and we can't rate it enough. Clean, comfortable, and located in such a nice quiet area of countryside. It's well equipped with everything you need for a perfect Scottish getaway.
The roundhouse was a great place for us to stay. It was very well equipped and with dressing gowns and slippers too use in all the rooms. We had a good time staying there and the communication from the hosts was also quick and helpful.
Weve stayed in lots of holiday cottages over the years and this is one of the best. Quality fixtures and fittings and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen the owners have thought of everything. There was great attention to detail and lots of little extra touches were provided such as bathrobes and slippers, toiletries, selections of beverages and biscuits, a coffee maker and a wine cooler. The owner, Isobel, welcomed us on arrival and told us she lived close by if we had any problems, which was reassuring, but at the same time she respected our privacy. A great base from which to explore beautiful Perthshire and a warm, welcoming place to return to in the evening. Stunning views from the round room and plenty of wildlife to spot. The weather was kind to us too being the beginning of November, which was an added bonus. There were only two of us for most of the week with family spending the weekend, but there was still space for all seven of us to enjoy without feeling crowded. All in all and excellent holiday home all round.

We had an amazing stay at the roundhouse which is a truly stunning property. This house goes above and beyond in terms of comfort, cleanliness and has so many thoughtful additional extras. You will be delighted if you book this property. If you go in October the Enchanted forest light show at Pitlochry is a must and the children had a great time at Landmark park. The owners are on hand and are the nicest most helpful couple. Just book it, you wont be disappointed.
A great property that had everything. We had a brilliant week there, and would love to return again.
Robert

Stuart
What a beautiful place, fantastically presented by a friendly team. Great views and wildlife at your doorstep... even the teenagers loved it! And nothing prepares you for the first time you walk into the Roundhouse itself...
The Roundhouse can't be improved. It is spacious, perfect for families, and is kitted out with everything you could want. The quality of the bedding, furniture, utensils, etc is all second to none, and makes for a really premium stay. The owners are lovely and very attentive, and we can't wait to stay again.
The Roundhouse is fantastic and cannot be faulted in anyway we would move in tomorrow. John and Isobel were wonderful and we look forward to seeing them again in the future that's guaranteed!
Amazing house and spacious multipurpose lounge area. Lots of little touches of character and considerations that made our stay all the more comfortable, especially items for younger kids e.g. highchair, baby cutlery, games. Overall very satisfied.
Michelle
The roundhouse was fantastic, clean with lots of space. the living area was extremely spacious, kitchen well equipped, my husband particularly loved the coffee machine. Rooms spacious, beds were comfy. great views, we spotted rabbits in the field across from us, being Easter my little one loved this, then seen two deer across the road in the golf course. my husband loved the area he brought his bike and cycled two of the mornings. would definitely book again.
This cottage is worth booking just to be able to sit in the magical lounge. Querky doesn't do it justice. The whole cottage is so comfortable. It was a wrench to leave. Would love to return again
