Edengrove Reviews

Excellent accommodation which matched the description. Perfect for our party of 7 adults and 3 young children. Warm and comfortable, wifi worked well, kitchen well equiped for cooking
We booked this large house to have a family get together ranging from grandchildren to grandparents and a dog. We had a fantastic time, it was so comfortable and spacious. So close to the river for beautiful walks and a stones throw from the centre of the village, it really had it all. The garden was brilliant too, secure with lovely views. The kitchen was bright and had everything you would need to cook large dinners, which we did every night to enjoy around the dining table. We will remember this place for a future booking.
Lovely stay and great communication from hosts. Clean, roomy accommodation with everything you need
Stewart
Fabulous and spacious accommodation, well equipped kitchen and great garden. Well located for lots of local walks and amenities. The team were very communicative and helpful throughout.
Roseann
The whole family enjoyed their stay. The property was very clean, and had everything we needed.
Anne Louise
Fabulous villa. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend. One minor issue was the guide book mentioned logs would be provided from Sept to May however there were none . Had we known in advance we would have picked some up. But did not detract from a five star experience .
Graeme
Lovely house in a lovely area
Hilary
The property had plenty of space for our family group of 6 adults and 4 children. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the pans, dishes etc. were of a good size for our needs. The garden was a good space for the children to run around and the house is very well placed within Aberfeldy so access to shops, cafs, activities is easy. Offstreet parking was a bonus and we did manage to get three cars on the drive. There was a problem with the dishwasher on our penultimate day but the response from the managers was speedy and the issue did not affect our stay.
Recycling still full from previous clients, heating didnt work and the place was freezing. Plumbers came round quickly but seemingly this happens every 4 months and a new boiler is needed.
Fantastic location for a short break away. Cosy cottage and responsive service team provided by the owners. We didnt deal with sykes as they just publish the listing.

This is a wonderful house in a small Scottish town. The living room was cozy, with a wood burning stove. There was also central heating Everyone in Aberfeldy was friendly and helpful, but we Americans seemed to be a bit of a novelty. I do wish that washcloths were available, but that was a small matter.

We loved the property in the very quaint village of Aberfeldy. Great home base for exploring the surroundings. We were met by the owner who took the time to explain the features of the home. The home is well equipped and well furnished. The house and property gave us a cosy home feeling. Would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking to escape from the city. My family and I recently stayed for a week at Edengrove and it was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. The location is ideal, very close to the centre but also very quiet. The layout suited us really well with two bedrooms and a shower room with walk in shower on the ground floor which were used by my elderly mum and my sisterinlaw who had two dogs and the upstairs bedroom and shower room used by the rest of us. The large dining room was great for family meals and board games. The owner Jimmy popped in to check everything was okay when we arrived and was extremely helpful with a couple of issues we had not to do with the accommodation I would definitely use this accommodation if we return to Aberfeldy. Thanks for everything Jimmy.

We stayed at Edengrove as a party of 9 1 dog and found the property to be nice and spacious for all of us. It was the ideal base for exploring Aberfeldy and the wider area. Lots of amenities are just a short walk away. The back garden was a hit with us all especially for sitting out in the sun on an afternoon and was great for our water fight! Also lots of space to hang our wetsuits and towels etc after spending the day on Loch Tay. We look forward to returning in the future.
Lovely holiday with our family. Lots of space to get together. Initial problem of bulb out and towel rail off wall fixed immediately with an apology. I do think a little bit of maintenance tidying and house dressing would improve review rating. Toilet door at kitchen didn't shut or lock. Kitchen is good with machine and dryer however I thought it had too many large pots and kitchen bits that were unnecessary. Too much clutter. Beds and shower fantastic. Nice touch with the prosecco. Picture on web page shows different configuration to house. Looking at pictures you think it's a games room. But that picture is actually the bedroom. and not the dining room. The main thing that does need locking at is no door handle on door between kitchen and dining room. We closed this to keep dog in and locked our self in front of house as keys were in back door. We eventually got it opened but that is a fire and safety risk. Good job they was not anything on stove.
We had a wonderful time in Scotland and especially in Aberfeldy, We used the cottage Edengrove as base for our trips across the country. We were with a large groups and the full range of utilities of the house supported us in a suburb way. The beds are splendid, especially when you return after climbing the Ben Nevis. Dear Paul, the Aberfeldy whisky was a good starter, Slinte

Great place for all 10 of us to stay for a friends wedding. Plenty of facilities for us to use, good big table for us all to gather round and have a good laugh! Very clean and just as described on Sykes cottages website.
The property is a fabulous base for a family holiday, within walking distance of all the amenities in Aberfeldy. Overall we were very happy with the property, it was clean and well appointed with everything you need. Generally well maintained although there were a couple of doors missing handles and the towel rail in the upstairs bathroom fell off a couple times. Easy fixes which may not have been reported to the owner previously. I would recommend it to family and friends.
There was ten in our group ages ranging from 8years old to 68years old it being a family Christmas celebration, and we all had a fantastic time ,the house it self has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together or a wee quiet corner to yourself . Plenty nice walks near by .although the weather could have been a bit better ,however it is winter and that was what we expected ,The only down point that I would like to say is I did struggle cooking Christmas dinner ,the hob works perfectly ok however the oven is very small could only cook one item at a time which did cause a bit of stress at the time, Although everyone did enjoy it in the end .Thank you Jimmy for your support good to know your near by if we did need anything
Christine
We have stayed in this property quite a few times and always have a lovely time. The house is spacious and relaxing. Everything you need is in the house though we could have had some cloths and dish towels. Very central to the town centre. We will return in the future
Brilliant find. The house was outstanding. lots of room for us all, great cummunal spaces and brilliant host. we would definitely stay here again and again. couldn't recommend more D
Aileen
Great property with lovely big rooms. Also has a big garden, and is in a great position in Aberfeldy so much within walking distance.
We had an amazing stay. loved the holiday home and the location.
Elizabeth
We all had a very comfortable, happy stay at Edengrove in Aberfeldy. The property was very smart, stylish and extremely well equipped. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for a family get together.
Great location for river walks, the Birks and shops. An excellent property for a large family holiday with plenty of games for the youngsters plus a large garden.
What a great place to stay! ! We were there as a family with a range of ages. Great facilities and outdoor space, in a beautiful village. We made a request for a high chair. The home owner visited and also provided some great recommendations. Would definitely stay again.
The overall service has been fantastic. Quick replies to emails and phone calls. With regards to the house itself it was a fantastic property and an excellent location. Bedrooms were all ideal and a great configuration. The house was also extremely accessible as a few of our party were elderly, so having bedrooms downstairs and the bathroom was ideal. There was plenty room for the 8 of us from seating to the various social spaces downstairs. The house was well kitted out and complementary whisky and prosecco was a nice touch. My only two minor comments of areas for improvement were the oven takes a long time to heat and never quite reaches the selected temperature. The downstairs doors could do with a paint refresh.
