Bugaboo Cottage Reviews

Lovely stay and the cottage was well equipped for a varied generational holiday. Parking is a breeze with easy access to the cottage. All in all good value for the money.

Amazing experience in the countryside, everything near and handy, great communication with the owner, lovely huge house! We'll definitely book it back again.
Stephen
Despite the outside temperature being 12 to 14 degrees, we didn't need any heating on yet it felt really cosy inside. Good showers with plenty of hot water. The spacious boiler room was great for drying our wet things after days walking in the hills. A great holiday cottage, recommended.
Tracey
We had a wonderful week at Bugaboo Cottage, helped largely by the wall to wall sunshine! The cottage is in a great location for exploring with lots of walks from the door and lots of amenities locally. There are also lots of wonderful areas to drive to. The hotel a few minutes walk away was great for outdoor drinks and dining al fresco with lovely views. The cottage was comfortable and rooms were a decent size, could do with a few more bits in the kitchen and storage space for food, also storage in the twin bedroom. The WiFi was very hit and miss especially where the router was placed and the very thick walls. Cathy was always on hand with information or help when required. Overall we had a great stay at Bugaboo and would definitely consider returning if back in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a delightful Bugaboo cottage nestled in a picturesque small town Weem. this cottage in the small town was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It offered a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and convenience, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to unwind and immerse themselves in the beauty of a quaint setting. and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I arrived, living space was cozy and beautifully furnished, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Large windows flooded the rooms with natural light, and the view of the surrounding greenery was simply enchanting. Theres nothing quite like enjoying your morning coffee on the porch, surrounded by nature and the gentle sounds of the town waking up around you. The bedrooms were a haven of comfort gives you a homey feel. The location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the small town. Within a short walk, loved taking leisurely strolls along the scenic streets, soaking in the local culture. The host was incredibly helpful providing information about the area and ensuring I had everything I needed during my stay.

The cottage was ideal for our short stay. Spacious, comfortable and it had everything we needed, including outdoor furniture, which we were able to use as the weather couldn't have been better. It was within walking distance of Aberfeldy, with a path along the road and there was lots to see and do a little further afield. Would highly recommend!
This was a perfect cottage for a three generation party of 5. One bedroom and en suite is completely separate own staircase from the other two bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen is fine for making meals in. Plenty of living room space. Location is a couple of minutes from Aberfeldy where you have some nice coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store etc.
We really enjoyed our multigenerational stay at Bugaboo. The second sitting room and double room with ensuite upstairs was like it's own annex, providing peace and quiet at night time, with the open plan area and two twin ensuite rooms off the other staircase were used by the younger two generations. Kitchens and bathrooms were clean, however some surfaces and ledges could do with dusting. The kitchen would benefit a cupboard to store food, as we had to use the wide window shelf, but excellent supply of dishes, pans, and good cooker etc. The second fridge came in useful too. Excellent washingdrying room just outside Bugaboo. We would stay there again if exploring more of the area. Ample parking for two cars on site, but beware the neighborhood watch if visitors park elsewhere in the hamlet! Walking distance from Aberfeldy which has well stocked Coop, bakery, butchers etc.

The property owner was lovely. The picture of cottage was totally misleading and inside was so dark we had lights on all the time we were in cottage. The details said dog friendly but no way of stopping dog going upstairs so used chairs to barricade. Glad we didnt have children as stairs would have been a big problem. Plus side cottage in good location for seeing the sights and mostly very clean.

I booked Bugaboo Cottage as I was having a couple of days fishing the river Tay and my partner and mother fancied a wee break away. The cottage was lovely with everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. A lovely double room with ensuite , and two other very nice twin rooms both with onsuite bathrooms. As a fisher it was handy to have the drying area for wet waders and boots. The underfloor heating was very pleasant and the shower has more than enough pressure which is always a positive. I would stay again.
We had the best Christmas at Bugaboo Cottage. Such a lovely place very spacious but cozy, mountain view in the distance, 5 min walk from pub, comfy roomsbeds and the underfloor heating was delightful!!!! 5 stars for the owners as well, who put up a xmas tree and decorations for us and when we couldn't check out on time due to car trouble in a storm, they were very understanding and offered help which was so kind in a stressful moment with infant and toddler. Everyone loved it. We will definitely be back!
Lesley
A fabulous find, so warm and cosy with everything we needed for our weekend. We would definitely make a return visit to the cottage. Milk and shortbread which was delicious was a lovely welcoming touch.
The cottage was well equipped and comfortably furnished, we enjoyed our week there. The location, with easy parking, was perfect for us to revisit some of our favourite places. The beds were comfortable. we slept well after exploring locally and further afield. The shortbread biscuits were much appreciated and enjoyed. Overall a most successful and enjoyable return to Scotland !
Good location for seeing the sights easy to get to Perth and Inverness along with the fantastic scenic locations around Lochs Tay and Rannoch. The resturant in Weem fabulous as were those in Aberfeldy.

Very comfortable home in a convenient and quiet location!
Property perfect very comfortable and well equipped. Great holiday enjoyed by all. Stewart Family
Bugaboo cottage was exactly as described and we were delighted with our choice. Cottage is well equipped, rooms were clean and tidy, beds were incredibly comfy. We will absolutely return.
Raymond
We booked Bugaboo together with Larch cottage next door, which we had booked before to accommodate our extended family for a preChristmas long weekend gettogether. Bugaboo comfortably housed five adults and two kids and a dog and was a nice setting for our family meals. There were ample towels and linen for all, and teabags, milk and shortbread left for us on arrival. We explored Aberfeldy and beyond, mostly on foot, and even popped along to the Ailean Chraggan hotel for a pint less than 10 minutes' walk from Bugaboo top tip take a bright torch to light your way outwith daylight hours. We'll be back...
We had a lovely stay in Bugaboo cottage. It is a very comfortable cottage, well equipped and warm. It was a lovely base for our family to meet up. Would definitely stay there again, in fact we stayed next door in Larch cottage last year which was equally nice.
This is such a lovely property in a great location. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
Evelyn
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bugaboo and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. We will certainly look forward to returning in the near future.
We had a lovely holiday at Bugaboo Cottage. The house was ideal for our party spacious, clean and very comfortable, and particularly well equipped, even for baking. Upstairs was light and airy, and downstairs cosy with underfloor heating, and we loved having three bathrooms, one for each bedroom! It's five minutes away from Menzies Castle and some beautiful forest walks, well within walking distance of Aberfeldy, and 15 or so minutes by car from Kenmore Crannog Centre and Watersports. We had most of our meals outside on the patio, and when we weren't exploring the lovely area, the children enjoyed playing in the garden. Many thanks to the owners!
Claire
We had an excellent stay at Bugaboo cottage. Plenty of room and it was spotless. Would highly recommend. Nice 15 minute walk away from Aberfeldy.
Really enjoyed it, couldn't have been better.
Gillian
We had a lovely 5 night stay in Bugaboo cottage. The place was spotless and well equipped. This was our first trip away with our baby and was perfect. The location suited us as it was a nice walk away from Aberfeldy. We would definitely like to come back in the future.
Hi we had a great stay at the cottage . I would recommend you get some kind of support for top bunk bed as as my daughter had rolled of had hurt her self during the night which I was not happy with , the bedroom walls were dirty to . but everything else was great .
Leigha
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at bugaboo cottage. It was clean and was well equipped for our stay. The beds were comfortable and the showers were lovely. The cottage was really central for exploring the local area as well.
Great cottage, comfy, good amenities. Good communication with owner and very friendly. Nice biscuits and milk left for us on arrival.
We had a great holiday and really enjoyed the Walking and Climbing which for us is the main reason for visiting Highland Perthshire. The cottage was clean and the accommodation was comfortable. We did have a few issues, but the owners sorted them quickly. If somewhere is popular then keeping on top of things is difficult. So well done folks you did well. Oh and thanks for a good holiday.
Extractor fans in two out of the three bathrooms do not work.
Four of us two couples had a lovely holiday at Bugaboo. The cottage is wellpresented with plenty cooking equipment and adequate dishes etc. The kitchendiningsitting room is spacious, with comfortable sofas and chairs to relax in after a days walking or cycling. The entrance area is great for storing boots, jackets, etc. We used the second sitting room as a store for cool boxes, rucksacks and so on. Bedrooms are nice with comfortable beds. The laundry at the back was ideal for washing and drying clothes and would be a real bonus in bad weather. It was hot and sunny for the whole week we stayed and we enjoyed a cold drink round the picnic table in the garden when we came back each day. The area is beautiful with lots to do for people who enjoy the outdoors. The hotel about a quarter of a mile back towards Aberfeldy has a nice beer garden and offers good food. It can be accessed from a path so no need to walk along the road which can be quite busy. All in all, an excellent stay we hope to return!
Spacious and wellkitted out cottage in a great location for exploring the local area. Pubrestaurant within a couple of minutes walk.
A lovely, roomy cottage in a beautiful location, very handy for both Aberfeldy and Kenmore. An added bonus was the drying room at the back, perfect for getting the wetsuits dry after trips to Loch Tay. The only inconvenience was having to be out by 9am when our booking said 10am
The cottage was beautiful, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. It is in a fantastic location being so close to Aberfeldy and the river Tay. There were lots of walks from the front door with beautiful wild flowers and birds. It is a fantastic part of Scotland for hill walking and forest walks. Aberfeldy is also a fantastic town to spend time in. We did not want to leave.
We had a lovely time in this delightful cottage in a most beautiful part of Scotland. It's very convenient for trips in any direction and there are many lovely walks too. Also we can recommend the hotel about a quarter of a mile walk along the road for friendliness and good food.
Thanks for information about local walks. It was really helpful.
Debbie
A fantastic, spacious and comfortable cottage in a great location. The kitchen was well equipped, the second lounge was great to be able to spread out and having a separate drying room and washing machine was welcomed in a location where the weather can be a little unpredictable! The porch area was also helpful to remove and store boots and outdoor clothing, keeping the main living area warm and clean. We loved the area and hope to visit again soon.
The cottage is at main road, very noisy is during the night.
Jacqueline
Great cottage with all the facilities needed. Would definitely book again.
Lovely warm cottage
